Highland Community Curling Club offers a broad selection of leagues, for both those who are new to the game as well as those with many years of experience under their belts. We have leagues for youth and adults, men and women, as well as mixed and open (ie. any combination of men and women).
The chart below provides an overview of the various leagues and series that will be available at our club for the 2022-2023 curling season.
- We offer several types of leagues: Men's (3), Women's (3), Mixed (2), Open (4), Youth (3).
- Leagues designated as Club 'C', while open to all skill levels, are considered to be more competitive, and compete for a club championship.
- Leagues designated as Reduced play less than a full schedule (fewer ends per game, or fewer games per season).
Men's Club 'C' (Monday Evening)
Our Men's Club 'C' league is the more competivie of our evening men's leagues.
Curlers of all abilities, skill levels and experience comprise are welcome.
After the final round robin draw, playoffs are held to determine champions in several events.

Mixed Club 'C' (Wednesday Evening)
Our Mixed Club 'C' league is competivie, yet fun and social. Almost all evening curlers want to play in this league!
Teams are comprised of two female and two male curlers. Curlers of all abilities, skill levels and experience comprise are welcome.
After the final round robin draw, playoffs are held to determine champions in several events.

Day Women's Club 'C' (Monday Afternoon)
The Day Women's Club 'C' is offered on Monday afternoons. It is flighted and considered the generally more competitive of the daytime women’s leagues.

Format: | This league uses a round robin format with 2 rounds played throughout the season. After the Round Robin, teams are flighted and Playoffs are held to determine champions. This league runs the entire season. |

The Day Men’s Club 'C' league takes place on Thursday and Tuesday morning. This league runs the length of the curling season.

Day Men's (Monday Morning)
This Day Men's league is offered on Monday mornings, This recreational league is the more casual of the daytime men’s leagues and is individual sign up. Convenors place curlers on teams, which rotate after approximately 6 weeks.

Friday Night Social (Friday Evening)
Our Friday Night Social open league is a fun, social atmosphere for new and experienced curlers alike. This is a great entry league for newer curlers or anyone just wanting a fun night out!
This league is individual or couples sign up. Teams rotate partway through the season.

Golfers & Friends (Wednesday Afternoon)
Our Golfers & Friends open league is designed to introduce Highland Country Club members to the game of curling with their friends. The league will have instructional support in a non-competitive, social environment.

Mixed Doubles (Saturday Afternoon)
Mixed Doubles teams are comprised of one male and one female curler. Mixed doubles is offered on Saturday mornings or afternoons, every other week.
A newer, fast-paced and very fun league!

Format: | Mix Doubles format; this league runs the entire season, plus end-of-season playoffs. |

Little-Rocks (6-12) (Sunday Morning)
Our Little-Rocks program is designed for youth (Age 6-12) and offers instruction from qualified curlers. The program will teach the fundamentals of the sport, etiquette and sportsmanship while keeping it FUN and engaging for youth, including instructional time and game play comprise this program. They play Sunday morning between 9am and 11am.
Note: To Sign-Up for Youth leagues, every little-rocker must have their own unique email address to register for a website account with our Club.
Bantam (U16) (Sunday Morning)
Our Bantam (U16) program is for boys & girls aged 16 & younger. This group includes both novice and experienced curlers. They play Sunday mornings between 11am and 1pm.
Note: To Sign-Up for Youth leagues, every bantam curler must have their own unique email address to register for a website account with our Club.
Juniors (U21) (Sunday Morning)
Our Juniors (U21) program is for boys & girls aged 20 & younger. This group includes both novice and experienced curlers. They play Sunday afternoons between 11am and 1pm.
Note: To Sign-Up for Youth leagues, every junior curler must have their own unique email address to register for a website account with our Club.
Learn-to-Curl (Sunday Afternoon)
For the 2022-2023 Season, due to commitments related to the 2023 Brier in London, our Learn-to-Curl program is offered with just one session during the season (October-November). This 6-week program is designed for curlers new to the sport, or returning after a long hiatus. It teaches the fundamentals of the sport and etiquette and equips curlers to transition into club leagues. Included in the 6-week program are both instruction and game play.
Any Learn-to-Curl curler who wishes to join the club/league(s) after their session is complete will receive a credit towards their membership in the amount of the Learn-to-Curl program fee.

Note: Other 1-day 'Introduction-to-Curling' events may be scheduled around the time of the 2023 Brier, in March 2023.
