Curl London - Brooms & Brews 'Try Curling' Event (2024-2025 #2)

Our second 2024-2025 Curl London Brooms and Brews - 'Try Curling' event provides a unique opportunity for new and casual curlers (age 19+ only) to get out on the ice.

During the first hour (6:00pm to 7:00pm) our coaches will be on the ice to provide instruction and help you get started. During the second hour (7:00pm to 8:00pm) everyone will be split into teams of 4 and play a short just-for-fun game against one another.

After the on ice activities, it’s time to warm up with a beverage! Join us in the clubhouse curling lounge for socializing, something that curlers do very well. The bar is stocked with various bottled, draft and craft beers, wine, liquor, cider, coolers, and various non-alcoholic drinks such as hot chocolate and soft drinks.

You MUST register online in advance, accept the terms of our waiver and pay online by e-transfer (credit card only).

You must sign up and pay as individuals as HCCC requires acknowledgement of our Release Form (waiver) by all participants. Spectators are welcome but do not need to register.

A few things to note before arriving:

• We only accept debit or credit at the bar, no cash.
• Arrive any time after 5:30pm.
• Carry in a clean pair of indoor rubber soled shoes with absolutely no dirt or sand on the bottom.  You cannot wear the street shoes, that you you wore to this event, on the ice.
• Arrive dressed to curl wearing warm, layered, loose-fitting clothing.
• Gloves are a good idea.
• Hang your coat and change your shoes in one of our locker rooms, not in the lounge.
• Brooms and all other necessary equipment will be provided.

Individual registration is required so that each participant acknowledges reading and agreeing with our required Terms and Conditions:

• Next, complete the Registration process, including typing your name in the Signature area, thereby acknowledging acceptance.

By entering the participant name (must be over the age of 19 to participate in this event) in the Signature area on the registration form, you accept the conditions associated with this event.

Cancellations and Refunds

• Cancellations may be subject to an Administration fee.
• Cancellations within 72 hours of this event will only be processed if the registration can be refilled from our Waiting List.
